My son's best friend Ernie

Quinn's new best friend; an amazing horse named Ernie.  Ernie lives on our family's land (5 miles SW of Pueblo down Hwy 78) which Wayne Meason operates a Performance Horse Training facility.

This is also where the famous native american Chief White Eagle Jr. also known as "Indian Joe" Davis built his homestead until he died in 1966, which was willed to my great grandmother Nancy Ricotta. (see more about Indian Joe below) This property is a sacred place for my family and to many others that are now able to enjoy it through Wayne's amazing 'Horse Whisperer' like training philosophies.

Not sure who he is giving the thousand yard stare to but there's something about putting on that hat and jumping on a horse that makes you feel like an old throwback cowboy like he belongs on a horse (just try getting him off of Ernie and you will know what i mean!)

1880-1966 Below is an image of this great American Indian who was in 3 wars including the Spanish American War, WWI and WWII.  He also was in Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West show for 14 yrs as well as the Miller Bros 101 Ranch and Pawnee Bill's wild west shows.

I drew this from a picture I took when I took my cowboy out shed hunting for the first time in CO right on the stomping grounds where I first began to learn about and respect nature, as well as the pursuit of the hunt.
